Mint Gabriel is a Portland based queer artist. They work primarily in animation and enjoy everything from the storyboarding process to character design. In particular they love to tell stories about people who aren’t people. Often using supernatural beings, such as ghosts, vampires, or aliens, as a means of exploring both the joy, fear, loneliness and connection one experiences from being different. You can see this theme in their short film False Awakening, made during PNCA’s fall semester of 2022 as well as their upcoming film Vampire Debutante(Spring 2024). Mint is currently pursuing a BFA in Animated Arts at Pacific Northwest College of Art.
